Seven towers fed the Moon. Now, only one still stands.
Seven towers once stood, each a candle raised to the Moon. Their light fed her, and while she shone, the things from below could only crawl.
One by one the towers fell. Six are ash. The Moon is cracked and fading, and on the nights she dies, when the sky goes dark, the demons come in their strength.
One tower remains, and one warden to keep it. Hold the last tower, and the Moon may yet mend.
Demons march in from both sides and gather at the base of your tower. Then they start to climb. Your wizard's bolts fly on their own, but you are never just watching. You step in with spells and split-second timing, and you grow stronger between events.
The Moon is the clock. As she waxes and wanes, the night around your tower gets lighter or darker, and the dark has teeth.
The dark loosens its grip. Fewer foes come, and they come weaker. This is your breathing room.
The stream thickens and the foes harden, building toward the darkest night.
The sky goes black. A horde or a boss marches on the tower, and you never know which.
No two runs are alike. You draft your defenses as the Moon turns, and there are many ways to build them. Find the strategy that works for you.
Bosses use special attacks, and each one has a weakness. The longer you hold, the more twisted the hordes and bosses become.
